Interior Amenities

Kia Sportage vs Ford Escape

The Kia Sportage features seating for five and a large trunk. While there's plenty of room to stretch out, it offers amenities that'll take your driving experience to the next level. For example, you'll be able to stay comfortable all year round with available heated, ventilated, and power-adjustable front seats.

There are lots of options for the interior too. Woven cloth seats come standard, but tricot cloth, Sofino leatherette trim, and leather trim are also available for the seats. To give your Kia SUV a truly sporty feel, you can add a flat-bottom leather-wrapped steering wheel. Plus, you can always let some fresh air in with a panoramic sunroof.

The Ford Escape also offers heated and power-adjustable front seats, as well as leather upholstery. Unfortunately, ventilated seats aren't offered. It does have an available Vista Roof®, however.

Safety Features

Kia Sportage vs Ford Escape

The 2021 Kia Sportage is prepared to keep you safe. It comes with intelligent driver-assistance features that can help prevent accidents. Some of the standard safety features include a Rear-Camera Display, Lane Keeping Assist (LKA), and Forward Collision Avoidance-Assist with Pedestrian Detection (FCA-Ped).

While these features focus on what's around your Kia SUV, the standard Driver Attention Warning (DAW) monitors how you're driving. If it seems like you're tired or distracted, it will alert you, so you can stop and take a rest or let someone else drive.

The Ford Escape also includes a series of driver-assistance features. However, it doesn't offer anything that analyzes your driving patterns or keeps you alert.

Infotainment System

The Kia Sportage also comes with technology that'll make your drive easier and more convenient. The dashboard features an 8-inch touchscreen for your infotainment system. It is Bluetooth® compatible, so you can safely make hands-free phone calls and stream your favorite music and podcasts. You'll also be able to sync your smartphone apps with standard Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™.

Voice recognition also comes standard to help you control everything without taking your eyes off the road. It makes it even easier to use the available navigation system or find your favorite station on SiriusXM® Satellite Radio.

The Ford Escape offers all the same technology. However, very few of those features come standard. The base trim only includes Bluetooth®, voice recognition, and a 4.2-inch LCD screen. You won’t have standard access to Apple CarPlay® or Android Auto™.
